HBO has renewed Minx for a second season. The Jake Johnson and Ophelia Lovibond-led comedy debuted in March to favorable reviews, and was recently named one of Esquire's "Best TV Shows of 2022 (Thus Far)."
Set in 1970s Los Angeles, Minx stars Lovibond as follows Joyce, a young woman who teams up with a pornographic magazine publisher (Johnson) to create the first feminist, erotic magazine for women. Other cast members include Idara Victor, Jessica Lowe, Lennon Parham, Michael Angarano, and Oscar Montoya.
“All of us at Minx have been blown away by the passionate response from audiences across the world, who have mashed-up, TikTok-ed and fanfic-ed us into a renewal," said Ellen Rapoport, executive producer. "We are so grateful to our partners at HBO Max and Lionsgate for being true champions of the show, and for the opportunity to continue on this journey. Here’s to more chest hair, pussy bow blouses and tasteful nudes in Season 2.”
Season 1 of Minx is streaming on HBO Max.
