“More deflection from the Epstein files!!!”- Internet reacts as Donald Trump shares meme of chasing Barack Obama driving OJ Simpson’s infamous car

The internet went wild as President Donald Trump shared an edited photo of himself and Vice President JD Vance chasing former President Barack Obama in a white Ford Bronco, a mock-up that serves as a direct parody of O.J. Simpson’s 1994 police chase.

The post, which Trump posted to his social media platform on Truth Social, is speculated to be part of an escalating series of attacks against Obama as Trump comes under increasing pressure to release documents connected to the Jeffrey Epstein case.

The meme replaces Simpson’s face with Obama’s, and depicts Vance and Trump as the police officers chasing after Simpson.

What Donald Trump intended to express through this meme is unclear, but the post appears to relate to his recent accusations that Obama organized a “coup” against his 2016 campaign with the Russia investigation. Vance reposted the picture on X with a laughing emoji, adding more fuel to the fire.

The meme was soon picked up on social media, as many people wondered why Trump was hyper fixated on Obama instead of working through the Epstein files. One Instagram user wrote:

Several other internet users had the same doubts and believed that Donald Trump was trying to deflect the controversy related to the Epstein files by creating a new one.

"I know President Obama is too classy & dignified to comment on childish behavior of the commander in chief @realDonaldTrump. This lunacy makes U look unhinged , not gonna distract from #EpsteinFiles." Remarked a user.

People shamed Donald Trump for his decision to post such a meme and ridiculed his sense of humor, comparing it to that of a child.

A look into Donald Trump's recent feud with Barack Obama

Trump’s meme came after weeks of new allegations against Obama, including from Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard that the former president ran a years-long coup by manipulating intelligence related to Russian election interference.

"There is irrefutable evidence that detailed how President Obama and his national security team directed the creation of an intelligence community assessment that they knew was false," Gabbard said in a recent statement.

Barack Obama’s office quickly dismissed the allegations as “ridiculous” and nothing more than a “weak attempt at distraction.”

"Nothing in the document issued last week undercuts the widely accepted conclusion that Russia worked to influence the 2016 presidential election but did not successfully manipulate any votes." Obama's spokesperson said in a statement.

Meanwhile, Trump continues to face increased criticism of the media coverage of Epstein’s documents, which Trump has promised to the public on multiple occasions.

The latest Wall Street Journal report alleged that Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi contacted Donald Trump to tell him his name is among those listed in the files, a fact Donald Trump has denied, and has instead blamed Obama, Joe Biden, and former FBI head James Comey for “making up” the Epstein case.
