YouTuber MrBeast’s brand of chocolates, Feastables, has debuted its new packaging, designed to bring attention to the brand’s ethical sourcing practices.
Taking to X, MrBeast introduced the new packaging:
“As you guys know, we do a lot to ethically source our cacao, from paying our farmers a ‘Living Income Reference Price,’ using 100% Fairtrade certified beans and we audit and remediate child labor on our farms. And when you look at these boxes, you can’t tell we do any of that.”
Revealing the look of the new Feastables packaging, MrBeast added:
“Which is why, we now have Feastables version 3.0. Version 3.0 of Feastables is going to start into stores soon. It’s the same great taste you came to love, just now with our ethical sourcing mission on the bars, so people actually know what we’re trying to do.”
MrBeast is on a mission to end child labor in Africa as well as unethical practices with regard to sourcing cacao from the continent. In a press release from April, MrBeast discussed the logistical issues behind sourcing for making chocolate:
“The status-quo of the big chocolate sector means nearly half of all children living in cocoa communities in Ghana and Côte d'Ivoire are engaged in illegal child labor. We created Feastables, and we're going to use the incredible network of our fans, to change the way business is done in cacao-growing regions around the world. I know we can create chocolate that people can afford and that also pays farmers fairly, so kids don't have to work.”
The brand also shared that all of the cocoa in its chocolates is now acquired from Fairtrade-certified cooperatives. Explaining the relevance of the certification, the press release stated,
“The certification ensures Feastables chocolate is produced in line with the rigorous economic, social, and environment sustainability standards the Fairtrade label is known for, to help protect the livelihoods of cocoa farmers, farm workers, and their families.”
The 'Living Income Reference Price’ that MrBeast referred to in his video on X, refers to a strategy to help farmers earn a living income, as per Feastables’ website.
In 2024, Feastables also joined the International Cocoa Initiative, which aims to address child labor by improving children’s access to education among cocoa-growing farmers in West Africa.
MrBeast, in his video on X, also acknowledged the difficulty consumers were having with regard to identifying separate flavors of the Feastables chocolate bar. Showing the second version of the Feastables bar, MrBeast said,
“If you look at this, it’s pretty hard to tell the difference between these two flavors. The further back you are, the harder it is to tell which one is milk chocolate, which one is almond. And a lot of people get our flavors mixed up.”
when we first started Feastables, we had a lot to learn. we went all in to fix the problems and bring you a better product that not only tastes amazing, but also does good for the world! pic.twitter.com/88XZcJ4Xmg

Sharing the solution that the Feastables team came up with, MrBeast noted that the new packaging has “a little more color, so from a distance, you don’t confuse all the flavors together.”
The packaging now comes with distinguishing colors on the edge of the Feastables bar, which makes it easier to identify the flavor.
