Betty Gilpin is a nun who means business in the first images from Mrs. Davis.
The Peacock series, helmed by Tara Hernandez (The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon) and Damon Lindelof (Watchmen, Lost, The Leftovers) sees determined nun Simone (Gilpin) go up "against an all-powerful Artificial Intelligence known as 'Mrs. Davis.'"
"Mrs. Davis is the world’s most powerful algorithm. Simone is the nun devoted to destroying Her. Who ya got?". Three-time Emmy nominee Gilpin, best known for playing Debbie "Liberty Belle" Eagan in GLOW, stars opposite Jake McDorman (Dopesick, The Right Stuff) as her rebellious ex and Andy McQueen (Station Eleven, Fahrenheit 451) in the series.
Ben Chaplin, Margo Martindale, David Arquette, Elizabeth Marvel, Katja Herbers, Chris Diamantopoulo, Ashley Romans, Tom Wlaschiha, and Mathilde Ollivier round out the stacked ensemble for the series, which will consist of eight hour-long episodes. Own Harris (Black Mirror: San Junipero) and Alethea Jones (Rise of the Pink Ladies, Evil) will direct multiple episodes.
Mrs. Davis premieres on Peacock April 20, 2023, with its first four episodes, followed by weekly drops on subsequent Thursdays.
