Netflix went down on Friday morning, just as Stranger Things Season 4, Part 2 premiered.
According to Downdetector.com, reports of issues spiked around 3:00 AM ET, when the episodes became available, with over 10,000 user complaints. The problem seemed to be resolved within 30 minutes.
Many Netflix subscribers also posted their complaints on Twitter and shared images of the error message. One user wrote, "Vecna laughing at us bc netflix crashed," while another said, "Stay up all night to watch stranger things finale and Netflix crashed. I feel like such a loser rn."

Other streaming services have faced similar issues during premieres of popular shows. Earlier this year, HBO Max went down during the premiere of Euphoria Season 2, and again during the series finale of Mare of Easttown in May 2021.
All nine episodes of Stranger Things 4 are now streaming on Netflix.
