Netflix is launching yet another real-life Squid Game. Beginning in September, fans aged 16 and older can participate in an interactive Squid Game experience in New York City, and several other locations.
The Squid Game multiplayer game will allow players to navigate challenges based on the Netflix series, including Red Light Green Light, Marbles, and more. Challenges will take place in "Gameboxes" that utilize touch screens and motion sensing technology.
Interactive gaming and technology company Immersive Gamebox will be opening a new location and launching the experience in New York City's Lower East Side neighborhood. However, the experience will also be available at other Gamebox locations around the country including, Dallas, Houston, Chicago, Salt Lake City, Denver, Washington DC, Rancho Cucamonga, San Antonio, and more.
"People are constantly seeking new and different ways to remain invested in their favorite content," Immersive Gamebox CEO Will Dean said in a statement. "To reimagine Netflix's most popular show in an entirely new format offers customers more ways to stay connected to Squid Game."
Netflix previously announced another real-life Squid Game in the form of a reality competition series, in which 456 real players will face off in pursuit of $4.56 million.
Squid Game is currently streaming on Netflix.
