Gather 'round the campfire, folks. Mike Flanagan has another ghost story up his sleeve.
The mind behind The Haunting of Hill House and Midnight Mass is back with another Netflix horror series, this time with a teenage twist. The Midnight Club, based on Christopher Pike's 1994 novel, tells the story of a group of terminal teens residing at Brightcliffe Hospice.
The teaser introduces us to leading lady Ilonka (Iman Benson), a thyroid cancer patient who is inducted into the eponymous club and joins them to meet at midnight for scary stories and supernatural investigations. It soon becomes clear to Ilonka that there's a lot more to Brightcliffe and its ghosts than any of them ever imagined.
"I don't care what it costs," Ilonka says in the trailer. "If there's a way to save us, I'd bring the world down."
Flanagan faves Rahul Kohli (The Haunting of Bly Manor, Midnight Mass), Zach Gilford (Midnight Mass), Samantha Sloyan (The Haunting of Hill House, Midnight Mass), and Matt Biedel (Midnight Mass) will also star in the series.
The Midnight Club's 10-episode first season drops on Netflix October 7.
