Obi-Wan Kenobi Adds Warning Before Episode Featuring Violence Against Children

Obi-Wan Kenobi's penultimate episode opens with a warning that reads: "There are certain scenes in this fictional series that some viewers may find upsetting."

This is the second episode of the series to open with a warning about scenes of violence against children following the elementary school shooting in Uvalde, Texas last month. The season premiere of Obi-Wan included the same message.

The latest episode, titled "Part V," shows children being killed in an attack, and there is one scene in which a victim remembers playing dead among the bodies, mirroring details from the real-life shooting in Texas.

In the episode, Reva Sevander (Moses Ingram) recalls Darth Vader's attack on the Younglings at the Jedi Temple in Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith. Reva tells Obi-Wan (Ewan McGregor) that she survived Vader's massacre by hiding under bodies of the victims of Order 66.

Other series that have added warnings to their episodes following the Texas shooting include Stranger Things and Queer As Folk.
