After Ozzy Osbourne's death, family faces another grief as pet Elvis dies

The Osbourne family mourns again as they lose their cherished dog Elvis just three months after the loss of iconic musician Ozzy Osbourne.

Sharon Osbourne, Ozzy's wife and widow of the Black Sabbath lead singer, announced the heartbreaking news on Instagram this past Sunday (October 19).

"I can't believe I am posting this but my darling Elvis passed away this week," Sharon Osbourne wrote. "He gave me 14 precious [years]. He was by my side until the end. Rest in peace my darling boy!"

Kelly Osbourne pays tribute to family dog Elvis amid grief

Kelly Osbourne, the daughter of the late rock star, honored Elvis on social media. She posted two pictures of her Siberian husky and a video with him. She shared,

"It is with a heavy heart that I let you all know that we lost Elvis this week. Our guardian angel has left us. Elvis did not leave my side since my dad passed. He helped get me through the darkest moment of my life."

Kelly shared a heartfelt message as she thought about how much Elvis meant to the family during these tough times.

"I keep trying to find a positive in all of this and the only thing I can come up with is that maybe my dad needed him," Kelly continued. "Life can be so cruel but also give you many treasures. We were so lucky to have Elvis for 14 years. Thank you for all the love Elvis you were on of a kind. I love you sleep well sweet prince until we meet again!"

Elvis became a cherished family member following The Osbournes fame and Ozzy’s passing

Elvis entered the Osbournes’ lives five years after The Osbournes reality show ended. That series had catapulted the family into worldwide fame. Even though Elvis joined them later, Sharon, Kelly, and other family members often shared photos of him on their social media. He would sometimes drop by the studio to see Sharon while she was cohosting The Talk.

The family announced in July that Ozzy Osbourne had died, bringing an end to his six-year struggle with Parkinson’s disease.

"It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love," the family shared in a radius. After Ozzy’s death, fans, friends, and collaborators shared their heartfelt tributes. Black Sabbath bandmates mourned his loss. Lead guitarist Tommy Iommi said, “there won’t ever be another like him.” Adam Sandler, who teamed up with Ozzy in Little Nicky, called him “badass” and said, “I loved him a lot like we all did!”

Elvis's passing adds to the Osbournes’ grief. They have expressed their sorrow while remembering the joy and love their pet gave them over the last 14 years.
