Philip Baker Hall, known for his roles in Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm, died on Sunday night at the age of 90.
Baker's friend and neighbor, LA Times writer Sam Farmer, announced the death on Twitter on Monday, saying, "My neighbor, friend, and one of the wisest, most talented and kindest people I've ever met, Philip Baker Hall, died peacefully last night. He was surrounded by loved ones. The world has an empty space in it."

Hall played Lt. Bookman, the library detective on Seinfeld, and on Curb Your Enthusiasm, he played the super serious Dr. Morrison. Hall also appeared in films such as Magnolia, Boogie Nights, Hard Eight, Dogville, Bruce Almighty, The Insider, Rush Hour, and many more.
