Reba McEntire Has 'Been Trying Hard' To Do a Reba Reboot

Television has no shortage of reboots, but Reba McEntire thinks there's room for one more. In a Friday interview on The Bobby Bones Show, the Grammy-winning singer and actress revealed she's eager to return to the world of the Harts in a reboot of her early aughts sitcom Reba.

"We've really been trying hard to do a reboot of the Reba show," McEntire told iHeartRadio's Bobby Bones. "I really want to work with the people that I got to work with during that six and a half years."

The country music legend recalled how much fun she had working on the show with her co-stars Christopher Rich, who played Reba's ex-husband Brock, and Melissa Peterman, who portrayed Brock's eventual wife Barbra Jean.

"It was fun. The cast, the crew, everybody we got to work with and play with, they were wonderful people," she said. "We wanted to get back together like a reunion and have fun, so hopefully that will happen one day."

Although there are no official plans for a reboot, other Reba stars have expressed interested in returning. JoAnna Garcia Swisher, who played Reba's oldest daughter Cheyenne Montgomery, said in an interview with The Art of Kindness podcast that she loved playing Cheyenne.

When asked if she would return for a reboot of the southern-set sitcom, Swisher proudly announced, "Are you kidding me? We'd love to do [a reboot]!"

Reba ran for six seasons on The WB and The CW from 2001 to 2007. The entire series is currently streaming on Hulu.
