Reese Witherspoon & The Big Little Lies Cast Want to Bring the Show Back

Reese Witherspoon doesn't feel done with Big Little Lies just yet. 

In a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, Witherspoon said that she'd discussed revisiting the Emmy-winning HBO drama as recently as "yesterday". 

"I talk to Nicole Kidman about it all the time, too. And Laura Dern. And Zoë Kravitz. And Shailene Woodley. Somebody asked me the other day, 'What co-stars do you talk to more than any other?' It’s absolutely the Big Little Lies cast. We're always talking and texting," said Witherspoon. 

"But [director] Jean-Marc Vallée’s passing was really hard on us. He was our collaborator. He was our friend. He was our brother. So much of that series was born of his imagination and his creativity, so it is hard to imagine a future without him," she went on. "But there is certainly a deep desire for all of us to connect and create those characters again."

Big Little Lies debuted on HBO as a miniseries in 2017, earning eight Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Limited Series and acting awards for Kidman, Skarsgård, and Dern. Following the show's success, it received a surprise Season 2, which concluded in 2019. As of now, Season 3 seems to be purely hypothetical.
