Ryan Reynolds knows that Deadpool isn't exactly kid-friendly, but he doesn't think it's any worse than some beloved animated classics produced by Disney.

On Friday, July 22, Deadpool and Logan will become the first R-rated movies available on Disney+. Ahead of their streaming premiere, Reynolds took a few minutes to let concerned parents know that their kids have already seen more upsetting content in movies like Bambi, The Lion King, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and Old Yeller.

"We all know some Disney movies should already be rated R for irreversible trauma," the Deadpool star wrote on social media.

He then shared some edited content warning screens riffing on traumatic moments from classic Disney films, claiming the movies should "not [be] approved for all audiences" and "should have been rated R." In one warning, Reynold clearly referred to Snow White, writing, "Breaking and entering. Borderline polyandry. Pretty sure those diamonds aren't cruelty free."

Reynolds also called out The Lion King for featuring "fratricide" and "mauling," as well as Bambi for "the cold blooded killing of an innocent deer mom, that will cause lifelong trauma."

The post wouldn't be complete without an homage to one of Disney's most traumatic films, Old Yeller. Reynolds said the film should not be approved for all audiences, "especially dog lovers," due to the movie's "total ugly-cry inducing straight-up murder of Old Yeller. Also, bear abuse." He joked that all viewers should be accompanied by a parent or a "good boy who is very much alive."

Deadpool, Deadpool 2, and Logan will be available on Disney+ Friday alongside all of Disney's triggering classics.
