You wouldn't like Jameela Jamil when she's angry.
The actress, who plays villain Titania on Disney+ original She-Hulk, has long had a reputation for being outspoken online, and this week was no exception. Jamil took to Twitter to slam "hostile" viewers who had criticized the show.
After Jamil posted a video of herself eating French fries in Times Square with the caption "waiting for the final episode of She-Hulk like..." and a Twitter user responded "Who's waiting?", Jamil asked "why are so many men so upset? Are you all ok?", beginning a series of tweets addressing the treatment of the show - and her - online.
lol... why are so many men so upset? Are you all ok?

Jamil continued her thought the next day, tweeting that everyone should "talk nicely" even if they have different opinions about She-Hulk.
TO BE CLEAR. It is absolutely FINE if you personally don't like She Hulk. I know it doesn't appeal to everyone. Some people FUCKING LOVE IT. 😍 But can we all agree that you don't need to be *so* hostile when you express your feelings *TO* me. We're all fans, let's talk nicely.💪🏽

When another user questioned what Jamil meant by "hostile", however, the actress did not hold back, tweeting that she'd been called a "diversity hire" and "disgusting", among other derogatory things:
I was told I'm a diversity hire. I was told I would never work again. I was told we should stop letting women write shows, I was told I look disgusting, I was told I would only be remembered for being shit. You tell me what is hostile?

While the actress continued to field thousands of tweets from viewers both hostile and otherwise, she tweeted that she did want to engage - but not when people are "screaming".
"ACTUALLY I really wanna hear and engage with critics so I can learn. I value Marvel fans. But I can't hear them when they're screaming," she wrote. "And when people are randomly rude and personal, it brings up my defense and nothing productive happens. If you want me to hear you, be humane."
She-Hulk is streaming on Disney+.
