War is brewing for the Roy family in the Succession Season 4 teaser.
Ahead of last night's House of the Dragon finale, HBO dropped a teaser for the highly-anticipated upcoming season of Succession.
"These people are pygmies," growls patriarch Logan Roy (Brian Cox). The season seemingly picks up right after the events of Season 3, when siblings Kendall (Jeremy Strong), Roman (Kieran Culkin), and Shiv (Sarah Snook ) teamed up in an attempt to stop their father from selling the company. In a shocking twist, Tom (Emmy winner Matthew Macfadyen) betrayed wife Shiv, and Logan outsmarted his children once again (and cut them out of a massive deal).
The teaser sees the siblings form a "rebel alliance" with one another, as well as with eldest brother and wannabe politician Connor (Alan Ruck). "We have a song to sing," says Kendall, as they seem to prepare for battle with their father. "Do you want to talk about what happened?" Tom asks Shiv. One can only imagine what her answer will be.
"In the upcoming fourth season, the sale of media conglomerate Waystar Royco to tech visionary Lukas Matsson moves ever closer," reads HBO's official Season 4 synopsis. "The prospect of this seismic sale provokes existential angst and familial division among the Roys as they anticipate what their lives will look like once the deal is completed. A power struggle ensues as the family weighs up a future where their cultural and political weight is severely curtailed."
Succession Season 4 premieres in Spring 2023 on HBO.
