Everyone's a suspect when The Afterparty returns for its second season in April, Apple TV+ announced Wednesday during a panel at the Television Critics Association 2023 Winter Press Tour.

After successfully solving an A-lister's murder in Season 1, Detective Danner (Tiffany Haddish) puts her skills to the test while investigating the murder of a groom on his wedding day. Danner reunites with Aniq (Sam Richardson) and Zoë (Zoë Chao) — who fell in love over the course of last season — to identify the culprit by questioning family members, star-crossed lovers, and business partners, all of whom relive the weekend from their own unique perspective.

Once again, The Afterparty will explore these events through popular film genres and mediums, and Season 2 promises to add new genres to the mix. Beyond returning stars Haddish, Richardson, and Chao, the 10-episode season will introduce a fresh cast of characters played by Elizabeth Perkins (Miracle on 34th Street), Zach Woods (Silicon Valley), Paul Walter Hauser (Black Bird), Poppy Liu (Hacks), Anna Konkle (PEN15), Jack Whitehall (Bad Education), Vivian Wu (Away), John Cho (Harold & Kumar), and Ken Jeong (Community).

Though Apple has yet to release a trailer for The Afterparty Season 2, the streamer has shared first-look photos that offer a sneak peek at the new characters who will soon find themselves at the center of Danner's investigation.
