The Boys has been renewed for Season 4, Prime Video announced on Friday. Currently in its third season, The Boys follows a group of superheroes who use their powers for selfish gain, while also fighting off another group threatening to destroy them. Season 3 premiered on June 3 and introduced Soldier Boy, a new superhero played by Jensen Ackles.
"Speaking for the cast and crew, we're so grateful to Sony, Amazon, and most of all the fans for embracing the show and allowing us to make more," showrunner Eric Kripke said in a statement. "We're thrilled to continue Butcher and the Boys' fight against Homelander and the Seven, as well as comment on the insane world we're living in. Also, this is the first time in history that exploding genitalia has led to further success."
The first four episodes of The Boys Season 3 are currently streaming on Prime Video. New episodes drop every Friday through July 8.
