The Guardians of the Galaxy are back... to save Christmas (and heal Star-Lord's broken heart).
In the trailer for The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, the rag-tag gang of Marvel heroes - Drax (Dave Bautista), Mantis (Pom Klementieff), Rocket (Bradley Cooper), Nebula (Karen Gillan), and Groot (Vin Diesel) - team up to help cheer up Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), who is still grieving the loss of Gamora (Zoe Saldana). When the group learns it's almost Christmas on earth, they decide to try to find Star-Lord "the perfect present".
Drax and Mantis' trip to Star-Lord's home planet sees the unlikely duo hunt down that special something - or someone - namely the "legendary Kevin Bacon", who will also make an appearance in the special.

First announced in December 2020, this 40-minute seasonal special presentation is written and directed by franchise vet James Gunn. The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special is set after Thor: Love and Thunder and before Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which will hit theaters in May 2023. The special is reportedly the "epilogue" of the MCU's Phase 4, marking another installment in the phase for the Guardians after the I Am Groot animated short series that dropped on Disney+ in August.
The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special debuts on Disney+ November 25.
