Fans got their first extended look at The Mighty Ducks without Gordon Bombay Wednesday as Disney+ released the official trailer for Season 2 of The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers.
Josh Duhamel stars in the upcoming season as former NHL player-turned-coach Colin Cole, who's described as "inspirational, charming and hardcore." He runs the super-intense summer hockey institute where The Mighty Ducks land in the show's sophmore season.
"As our Ducks try to survive in this super-competitive environment, they're faced with the question: Can you win summer?" Disney+ said in a press release accompanying the trailer.
Duhamel stepped in as the show's male lead after Estevez and Disney parted ways over a reported contract dispute last fall. Estevez played Gordon Bombay in all three Mighty Ducks films in the '90s before reprising the character in the first season of the revival series.
Lauren Graham returns as Coach Alex this season, alongside other returning cast members Brady Noon, Maxwell Simkins, Swayam Bhatia, Luke Islam, Taegen Burns and DJ Watts.
The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers Season 2 premieres on Disney+ September 28, 2022.
