The Vow has more horrors to explore.
In the trailer for Season 2 of the HBO docuseries, NXIVM co-founder Nancy Salzman sits down for a shocking conversation with the filmmakers. "My whole company was destroyed, and my whole life fell apart," says Salzman. She also wonders why we haven't heard from all the people NXIVM successfully helped. Salzman seems to wrestle with the impact of what she's done and her relationship with Keith Raniere, as well as the legal action being taken against her and several other high-ranking members (including her daughter, Lauren).
"Going into this, I thought Keith was innocent," Salzman says. "I was wrong."
The Vow Part II will delve deeper into the horrors of the abusive sex cult as the federal trial of The United States v. Keith Raniere continues. Featuring exclusive phone interviews with Raniere from prison, conversations with former members Mark Vicente, Bonne Piesse, Sarah Edmonson, and more, The Vow's second season will also hear from women who are still defending Raniere and his work.
"I wonder if she's really waking up," says Vicente of Salzman. "Or just trying to save herself."
The Vow Part II premieres Monday, October 17 at 9/8c on HBO and will be available to stream on HBO Max.
