The Wendy Williams Show is officially ending after 14 seasons, Variety reported Tuesday. The final episode will air on Friday, June 17, with a video tribute to Williams.
The show has been airing all season without its host. Instead, the daytime program has recruited a variety of different guest hosts, including Sherri Shepherd, who is guest hosting the final week and Friday's finale. In the fall, Shepherd will be taking over the time slot with her new show, Sherri.
Williams is said to have been struggling with Graves' disease and hyperthyroidism, further complicated by a case of breakthrough COVID-19 in October.
Speaking with Good Morning America after the announcement that her show was ending, Williams pledged to return to daytime talk, "bigger and brighter than ever."
The Wendy Williams Show airs weekdays in syndication. The show is expected to air repeats through the summer.
