Trevor Noah to Host Grammys for Third Year in a Row

Trevor Noah will officially return to host the Grammy Awards for a third consecutive year. 

CBS announced today that comedian and former host of The Daily Show Noah would serve as master of ceremonies for The 65th Annual Grammy Awards in February 2023. Noah hosted his final episode of The Daily Show last week, and recently debuted standup special I Wish You Would on Netflix. 

Noah recently told The Hollywood Reporter that he'd continue working with some of The Daily Show team following his departure due to gigs like the Grammys. "Some of us work on the Grammys together, some of us work on other shows that I’m producing. It’s almost like that moment in soccer," Noah said.

"As a soccer player, you’ll play for your club and then you’ll play for the national team and there was always a moment where a player would retire from the national team," he explained. "They’d say, 'I’m no longer going to play at the international level, but I’ll still play for my club.' And it’s always sad because they won’t be on the national team, but they’re still playing and they’re still playing with many of the players they know."

Nominees for this year's Grammys include Beyoncé, Adele, Harry Styles, Kendrick Lamar and Lizzo, to name a few. 

The 65th Annual Grammy Awards air February 5, 2023 on CBS and Paramount+.
