VH1 is cutting ties with Black Ink Crew New York star Ceaser Emanuel after a video of him abusing dogs surfaced online.
Black Ink Crew New York follows the day to day operations of Emanuel's tattoo shop, Black Ink Tattoo in Harlem. The series, which premiered in 2013, is currently in its 10th season on VH1.
A video of Emanuel appearing to beat dogs surfaced online on Wednesday. Emanuel's co-star, Donna Lombardi, reposted the video on her Instagram, writing, "If you can treat a dog like this, it shows how sick of a person you truly are. I don't even get into the life of this man, but this video made me so upset."
She added, "I pray the people see you, @ceaserblackink, as the monster you are. Your karma has been adding up for years, but to do this to two innocent dogs!?! This is crazy. CHARGES NEED TO BE PRESSED, and CANCELLATIONS NEED TO BE MADE!"

Amid the controversy, a VH1 spokesperson told TMZ that Emanuel has been fired. "We have made the decision to cut ties with Ceaser Emanuel from Black Ink Crew New York, the network said. "Since next season was close to finishing production, this decision will not impact the upcoming season.”
The situation is expected to be addressed on Black Ink Crew, TMZ reports.
Ceaser's attorney, Walter Mosley, told TMZ the video was old. "There is no police involvement," said Mosley. "It was shot at his residence in Atlanta during COVID."
