Zibby Allen Says the Virgin River Cast Jokes About the Show's Timeline

Virgin River star Zibby Allen, who plays Jack's (Martin Henderson) sister Brie on the Netflix drama, says the cast is well aware of how unusual the timeline is on the show.

Following the recent release of Season 4, fans were shocked to learn in the finale that Charmaine (Lauren Hammersley), who has been pregnant since the end of Season 1, is apparently only five months pregnant. This means that although it's been two-and-a-half years and four seasons since we met the characters of Virgin River, only five months have passed in the show's timeline.

In an interview with Today, Allen said the cast makes jokes about the timeline on set "all the time."

"I'm like, 'You guys, eventually, you're gonna have to do a time jump because we're just aging way too fast for a five-month span,'" she said.

She also revealed that she didn't understand the show's timeline until she was cast on the show, saying, "I think that the pregnancy thing was one of the first sort of tells because even I, when I was watching the show before I was on, was like, 'Oh, this covers way more time in the story.' And it really doesn't."

Virgin River is available to stream on Netflix.
