WATCH: Olivia Newton John Remade 'Physical' With Glee's Sue Sylvester

It was a match made in tracksuit heaven. When Olivia Newton-John guested on Glee back in 2010, the show's writers couldn't help but pair her with Jane Lynch's Sue Sylvester.

In the season one episode titled "Bad Reputation," Sue is the laughing stock of McKinley High teacher's lounge after a purloined video of her jazzercising to Newton-John's "Physical" goes viral. She's so humiliated that she even vows to change her ways.

That is, until she receives a phone call from Olivia Newton-John herself, who says saw Sue's video and asks if she'll join her in remaking the music video for her classic 1982 hit, which she says she "botched" when she filled it with "obese fat guys in latex." The rest, as they say, is history:

After the video's release, a no-longer humbled Sylvester bursts into the teacher's lounge, declaring "Sue Sylvester is a Top 700 recording artist, people! Who's laughing now, huh?" 

Newton-John died Monday morning at the age of 73. The actor, singer, and songwriter had been fighting breast cancer for decades.

Lynch, who played Sue Sylvester on Glee for six seasons, took to Twitter after news of Newton-John's passing spread. "Godspeed, ONJ. Bless you. What a light," she wrote.. 

All six seasons of Glee are currently available for streaming on Disney+.
