However, Brooke distanced herself from her parents over a decade ago. The particular time of her decision to part ways has not been confirmed yet. But she often speaks about her parents in interviews.

In September 2023, she made headlines and came into the spotlight after she skipped attending her father's third wedding to Sky Daily. 

Though neither the late wrestler nor his eldest daughter ever reflected on their tension and shared the reason publicly, an insider detailed the parting earlier this year.

In a conversation with Us Weekly in March, the source revealed that her parents' divorce might have been a significant reason for the distance.

On July 24, the wrestling legend passed away at the age of 71. Since the heartbreaking news was confirmed officially, stories and memories from his life began circulating on the internet. Among the most discussed aspects of his personal life is his estranged relationship with his daughter, Brooke Hogan.

Although they once appeared to share a close bond, both on and off screen, things took a turn when Brooke eventually chose to distance herself from her parents, leading to a widely publicized fallout.

While media and fans speculated a parting between Hulk and Brooke, the news was confirmed by Brooke herself in March 2025. According to a BollywoodShaadis report, the renowned wrestler longed for a reconnection with his daughter aligned with his values and in his way.

The About Us singer's husband, Steven, made efforts to rebuild their strained bond. However, his efforts led nowhere.

The outlet cited a report by TMZ stating that Brooke had one final conversation with her father just two weeks before he married his third wife.

During the chat, she expressed her love for him and also gently advised him to 'slow down' from his fast-paced lifestyle and prioritize his health.

Multiple reports also confirmed that the wrestler apologized to his kid during this call. This was the last time Brooke opened up to his dad. 

A TMZ report confirmed recently,

"She urged her dad to slow down and enjoy life, but Hulk didn't want to hear it… They hadn't spoken since. Hulk also apologised to her during the call, but wasn't specific for what."

While she also tried to bridge the gap and share a rare bond with her father, things did not return to how they were before. But she feels happy knowing that she shared about loving his father during their final chat.

As she was in no contact with her parents for years, her younger brother, Nick Hogan, told her about the tragic news of their father's death. The TMZ report further stated,

"She learned of her dad's death on Thursday morning when her brother, Nick, texted her husband to share the news. We're told the father-daughter relationship had been fractured for some time -- the result of a culmination of issues over the years and how Hulk treated Brooke."

Brooke and Hulk were believed to share a great connection until reports claimed an alleged poor treatment of the For a Moment singer.

However, her mom, Linda, had something else to say about her daughter's decision to cut ties. Earlier this year, in March, she said in a video, as Us Weekly reported,

"It’s been 15 — or longer — years since I left Hulk Hogan and my family is in the worst mess."

Per her statement, she last spoke to Brooke around eight years ago, adding,

"Brooke doesn’t talk to us. She’s had twins. She got married, she didn’t tell us. She had a huge fight with Terry. I don’t know how that reflected onto me, but she cut me out too."

Amid the claims and the widely publicized Hogan family feud, Brooke broke her silence and cleared the air with a long revelation post on Instagram. 

Fox News reported her statement shared in the now-deleted post. In an attempt to "keep things as vague as possible to continue to protect people," she shared having different reasons for losing contact with her mother and father. She explained,

"No contact with my Mom has nothing to do with my Dad, and no contact with my Father has nothing to do with my Mother."

Noting that her emotional Instagram post was not directed "at either person," she called it her "own personal truth."

Without naming the person behind her trauma, the Hogan daughter penned on the social media platform, as Fox News cited,

"I have been EXTREMELY verbally and mentally abused since childhood. Sadly, it would frequently turn physical. And sometimes it’s not by the person you would assume, abuse comes in all shapes and sizes. This vicious pattern has robbed me of any sense of self-esteem or confidence I've been trained to pretend to have."

Recalling the worrisome and stressful times of her younger days , she further continued,

"Up until adulthood, I've received berating and vile text messages, verbal, public reamings with unbelievably hurtful words said to me that cannot be forgotten. I've been ASKED to defend poor behavior to the public and have done so out of love. Only to find I was misinformed, manipulated, and lied to. Still to this day I face constant ridicule for those poor decisions of others. I've watched others benefit financially off my suffering and embarrassment caused by their selfish behavior. While it caused my life to crumble, I continued to stay strong and silent."

Delving into how these experiences affected her professional and personal lives, she pointed out the harshest truths of her life, sharing,

"I was expected to – and DID forgive massive blows to my career and personal life, nasty behavior, omissions of truth, blatant lies, manipulation, and repetitive errors in hopes of renewing previous family bonds. I've been used as a pawn, a buffer, and been treated like I'm downright stupid too. No child or human should ever experience something like this."

While Linda and Brooke looked back on their experiences and shared their perspectives, Hulk refrained from commenting on the estrangement.

In March 2025, an insider disclosed to Us Weekly, 

"Terry not speaking to Brooke is [a] much more recent thing."

As per the undisclosed individual, the wrestler did not particularly know why his daughter stopped talking to him. They also said,

"Terry has for sure tried to be a good dad."

Hulk Hogan died at 71

Iconic wrestler Hulk Hogan passed away on July 24, 2025, at the age of 71. He was one of the biggest stars of the '80s and '90s, presenting his profession on a noteworthy global stage, and his sudden demise came as a major shock to many globally.

According to multiple reports surfacing on the internet, he died of a cardiac arrest. As per NBC News, doctors at Morton Plant Hospital pronounced him dead at 11:17 AM.

The outlet reported Police Maj. Nate Burnside's statement noted that there were "no signs of foul play or suspicious activity related to this call for service" before they began their probe.
