A GoFundMe campaign launched to help Bryan Braman has raised over $80,000 as of Sunday, July 6, 2025. The page was created by William Jones of Spokane, Washington, in February 2025. The goal was to help the ex-NFL (National Football League) star pay for his housing, amidst his ongoing battle with a “life-threatening cancer.”
On GoFundMe, Jones described Braman’s concurrent financial condition and urged the community to donate,
“Please help me to help him through this life-altering medical emergency. Let's show him that there are individuals and families that want to show support. Prayers are also encouraged and appreciated. From me, my family, Bryan, and his family, thank you in advance for your prayers and support.”
For the unversed, Bryan Braman is a former football player whom the Houston Texans initially signed for his first three seasons in the NFL. The Spokane native then played for three seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles. In 2017, the New Orleans Saints briefly signed the linebacker during the preseason, before he was placed on the injured reserve list and released.
Bryan Braman returned to play for the Philadelphia Eagles and was also a part of its Super Bowl LII-winning lineup, recording a tackle against the New England Patriots. The six-foot-five linebacker spent his college football career at the University of Idaho (redshirted player), Long Beach City College, and West Texas A&M University.

William Jones created the GoFundMe page for the former Eagles star with an original goal of $25,000, aimed at covering his housing expenses and other necessities. Months after addressing the community, Jones provided another update recently, revealing that Bryan Braman was at his home with his family after recently undergoing CAR T-cell therapy in Seattle.
William further revealed that the one-time Super Bowl winner has been fighting with a “very rare form of cancer. He wrote,
“With the cancer that Bryan has, which is a VERY rare form of cancer, the Car-t treatment had the highest chance of success as the cells are reprogrammed to fight this cancer that is within Bryan.”
Jones also explained that Braman “has had to start having chemotherapy,” which is designed specifically for his treatment plan. He shared that Bryan has undergone multiple surgical procedures, but was not able to recover quickly due to his “lowered immunity due to all of these treatments.” He added,
“By the time he was able to recover so he could continue with the chemo, the cancer has grown exponentially faster, and is now growing around his vital organs.”
He further shared,
“The Dr's are now concerned because of his treatment, his chemo options are very limited. They have tried all of the various treatment options, and unfortunately, none of them are working against this cancer. But Bryan has not given up. He is looking into other trial treatment programs, and is determined to never give up.”
I’m sad it’s taken me so long to see this. @Eagles fans, we need you to be teammates right now.

William Jones thanked the community for the “renewed donations,” asserting that it will help Bryan Braman with necessities. He continued,
“These donations will also go a long way to help cover some of the treatment costs that are not covered by insurances. That has greatly helped Bryan to not have to focus on those, and now he can relax and recuperate.”
He encouraged the donors to continue donating and sharing Bryan Braman’s story with others. William Jones also appreciated donations of certain essential items. He wrote,
“Several people have asked what Bryan can use. The items are: Ensure complete protein drinks, Gatorade (pretty much all flavors), Body Armor drinks, fruit juices (these are preferred by Bryan), and any high protein drinks.”
Jones asked the donors to contact him for delivery instructions. He concluded with another thank you to the donors who helped Bryan during his health struggles.
