Who is Christina Downer? SNL writer Jimmy Fowlie pleads for information after sister goes missing in LA

Jimmy Fowlie is asking for the public's help in finding his sister Christina Downer, who was "last contacted in late November."

The co-writer of the Saturday Night Live, Domingo sketch took to his Instagram on Monday, December 22, posting a missing persons report issued by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).

In the caption, Fowlie explained that Christina Downer, whose "married name is Downer, but she may go by Christina Fowlie," has been missing and was last seen in Los Angeles.

"My sister has been missing and we are worried that she isn’t safe. Her married name is Downer but she may go by Christina Fowlie. Please share this so that if anyone has seen her, they can give any information to the police. The phone number is 213 996 1800 and her case number is 25237639. she was last seen in LA. thank you," he wrote.

While little information about Christina is available online, the Los Angeles Police Department's missing person report describes Christina as having brown eyes and brown hair. She stands 5 feet 1 inch tall and weighs 120 pounds.

"Christina's family and friends are concerned for her safety," the statement added.

The following day, Jimmy shared a carousel of pictures of his sister with her dog Rex on his Instagram, noting in the caption that she is "very attached to her dog," and said that "if you see her, chances are he'd be with her."

The SNL writer further revealed that his sister was "last seen in Koreatown" and that he "heard from her on November 26th."

"She was active on social media up to Dec 15th. At this time the detectives have advised us not to share certain details so we don’t compromise the case. Thank you to everyone who has gotten the word out. I’ll share updates as I get them. If you do have any information please contact LAPD 213-996-1800 thank you," the caption added.

"This period of time is really important": Jimmy Fowlie on his sister, Christina Downer's disappearance

Jimmy Fowlie, who has been actively posting updates on his social media about his sister's disappearance, informed fans on December 28 that Christina Downer is still missing.

"🚨🚨🚨 please share. this period of time is really important," Downer captioned the post.

He shared that he and his friends have been putting up flyers around Koreatown and urged Los Angeles residents to join them.

"My sister is still missing. This is not like her, she's never gone off the grid like this," he wrote. "If you can't join us but want to help, the link to her missing poster is in my bio, and if you print a few copies and post in your LA neighbourhood, that would be so helpful. If you don't live in LA, please share her picture. Someone has seen her or knows something," Jimmy added.
