It appears MrBeast, 27, is impressed with IShowSpeed's captivating return to Twitch.

Recently, the YouTube legend lauded the 20-year-old streamer for "a generational run" on multiple social media platforms.

Earlier this month, IShowSpeed, whose real name is Darren Watkins Jr., made a grand comeback on the platform after a long hiatus of a few years.

According to statistics available online, he is already acing the social media game as the most viewed streamer.

MrBeast praised IShowSpeed's return to Twitch

The appreciation and conversation sparked after X (formerly Twitter) user ryan 🤿 (@scubaryan_) shared insights on Darren's comeback on Twitch and viewership details.

As he detailed in his post, the renowned content creator has already amassed 450k concurrent viewers on YouTube and 48k online spectators on the live-streaming platform.

    Ryan acknowledged IShowSpeed's stardom, sharing,

"iShowSpeed is making his case for “Streamer of the Year” as he’s currently the most viewed streamer on BOTH platforms he’s multi-streaming on 😭🔥"

Last year, he was awarded the Streamer of the Year recognition at the 2024 Streamer Awards. Hosted on December 7 in Los Angeles, he also won the Best International Streamer award that night.

MrBeast, aka Jimmy Donaldson, showered his admiration for Darren after the latter climbed the highest viewership numbers on both Twitch and YouTube, according to a report by Dexerto.

Jimmy responded to the viral tweet by ryan 🤿 (@scubaryan_) and lauded Speed, commenting,

"My god, speed is on a generational run. Love seeing people crush it in their own unique way"

In June 2024, IShowSpeed teamed up with MrBeast for a $100,000 Wipeout challenge. Also, KSI joined the duo for the then-viral content piece. The stream, streamed on June 5, currently has over 8 million views.

According to a Hindustan Times report, Jimmy and Speed found themselves arguing after the younger talent tried to take away MrBeast's briefcase with $100,000 inside.

Donaldson concluded the heated debate with a subtle warning clarifying that if Speed attempted to take his money again, he would call the cops and notify them about his plan.

Netizens react to IShowSpeed's online audience figures

Ryan's X post sharing a sneak peek into Speed's prominence and credibility on multiple social media platforms is now viral. It has already garnered over 1.5 million views with hundreds of reposts and comments.

Along with Donaldson, several netizens also acclaimed the YouTube gaming star's dominance on the digital landscape, particularly on Twitch. Let's deep dive into X user's kudos for the Twitch star.

    X user @jaime_solis remarked,

"Absolute beast mode for iShowSpeed right now. Streaming dominance is no joke. 🔥"

Social media user @findkitty7 lauded, saying,

"Speed’s literally streaming history in real time dominating two platforms at once like it’s nothing 😭🔥👑"

Netizen @ObaTheGreat1 wrote in the comment section,

"Speed been the biggest YouTube is the biggest platform by far."

@lunawesttt1 responded to the original post, sharing,

"Yesss, iShowSpeed is absolutely SLAYING the game right now! Those numbers are insane, streamer of the year for sure.  Can’t look away even if I tried!"

@bryantheden appreciated Speed, noting he is broadcasting history. The user commented,

    "Bro’s not streaming, he’s broadcasting history 😭"

IShowSpeed's numbers highlight his power on social media. @Pyro_WebX praised him, adding,

"Crazy numbers... he’s truly in a league of his own right now."

Many X users also drew comparisons between Darren and other popular streamers. Reflecting on the competition, X user @GetAJ0bNigga reacted,

"Ishowspeed is the biggest streamer and has been for years, kai cenat was never bigger than him."

    @yourgfhayley commented,

"I knew speed was the best, I don't think Kai can beat that 🤣"

Compared to Kai and AMP, @esteemae2 applauded IShowSpeed, sharing,

"Speed has always been bigger than Kai/AMP...global is not equal to local...never has, never will 🤷‍♀️"

A look at IShowSpeed getting banned from Twitch

In December 2021, the streamer was banned indefinitely from the live streaming platform. As Hindustan Times confirmed, Watkins allegedly made s*xist comments during his guest appearance on Adin Ross' E-Date stream paired opposite TikTok-famed Ash Kash.

While enjoying the date, Speed put up an unexpected question, asking her,

"Say if we were the last two people on Earth, and we had to reproduce to make the world continue, would you reproduce with me?"

Ash declined his hypothetical proposal, commenting,

"No, because that would mean our kids would have to intertwine."

Dismissing the disapproval, Darren made a provoking comment, noting,

"Who's going to stop me? Who's going to stop me?! If we the last two people on Earth, who's going to stop me?! You're not stopping me! If we're the last two people on Earth, who's going to stop me?"

While he had almost 3 million subscribers on Twitch, the platform stood strong against his unexpected opinions. As the outlet reported, his views violated the community guidelines of Twitch. The online streaming network forbade "sexual assault…or content that encourages or promotes it."

The concerned teams lifted IShowSpeed's ban in October 2023. And within a few months of his resurgence, he has already topped the site's viewership.
