The 12th and most recent season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills aired its season finale in October 2022. It was a highly contentious season, filled with the continued fallout surrounding Erika Girardi's legal problems and her volatile reactions any time the other women questioned her about them, as well as Lisa Rinna and Kathy Hilton's season-ending rivalry that boiled over during the reunion episodes.

Since that finale, the big news has centered on casting changes on the show heading into Season 13. While there is currently no date set for RHOBH to return — the last two seasons premiered in mid-May, so we're already behind schedule — there is still plenty of information to gather about what to expect when the show does kick off another year of conflict and diamonds.

Who's in the Cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for Season 13?

The returning cast is led by Kyle Richards, who's the only cast member who's been with the show since the beginning. She'll be joined by Erika Girardi (entering her 8th season) Dorit Kemsley (7th season), Garcelle Beauvais (4th), Sutton Stracke (4th), and Crystal Kung Minkoff (3rd). The season's new cast member will be Annemarie Wiley, an anesthesiologist and the wife of former NFL player Marcellus Wiley.

Who's Out of the Cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills?

After eight seasons, Lisa Rinna parted ways with the show at the end of Season 12. The decision to leave was a mutual one between Rinna and Bravo, according to reports. Rinna herself has since claimed that Season 12 was "rough" on her, not only due to the contentious relationship she had with Kathy Hilton towards the end of the season and at the reunion, but also in how the fans reacted to Rinna after the episodes aired. (Rinna was booed when she appeared onstage at BravoCon last October.)

Also not returning is Diana Jenkins, who announced on Instagram in January that she wouldn't be returning because she's pregnant, and that "this pregnancy is considered high risk and I am on doctor-advised bed rest. To that end, I am not able to devote myself fully to filming the next season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills." It had already been heavily rumored that Jenkins wasn't going to be asked back anyway, as her character was hugely unpopular in her one and only season on the show.

Which Former Housewives Will Be Returning on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills?

According to reports, Season 13 will be heavy with familiar faces. Kyle's sister Kim Richards has said she makes an appearance this season, her first since Season 10. Also back for the first time in three seasons is Camille Grammer (now Meyer), who was last seen getting into a fight with Lisa Rinna over social media comments.

Speaking of people who haven't been on the show since getting into a huge fight with Lisa Rinna, the big news is that Denise Richards filmed scenes for Season 13 after her hugely contentious final season that saw her feuding with just about everybody on the show who wasn't Garcelle. She reportedly shows up at a screening that Garcelle is having and, at least according to Denise, her appearance was as much a surprise to production as it was to the other women. "It’s been fun, Richards told Variety. "And you know, I’m a big fan of the show, so it was fun to go back and film a lot of stuff with them."

Other former Housewives making an appearance this season include Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave, who has never been far from the orbit of her former pals on the show, even after she was let go from the main cast after Season 10, and Cynthia Bailey, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star who has recently moved out to sunny Beverly Hills and is friends with at least Kyle after their time on Ultimate Girls Trip.

One familiar face who won't be back is Kathy Hilton, who was at the center of last season's big controversy when Lisa Rinna accused her of having a meltdown in Aspen that included homophobic slurs and threats made against her sister, Kyle. Last October, before Rinna announced she was leaving the show, Kathy stated that she wouldn't return to the show as long as "bullies" Rinna and Erika Girardi were still there.

When Did Season 13 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Film?

Filming for the new season began in February and wrapped on May 22nd, the latter date according to Garcelle's instagram post. The season finale takes place at Kyle's annual white party, which this year was a massive affair held at SoFi Stadium, the home of the NFL's Los Angeles Rams, and where the star of the show appeared to be a rented wind machine.

Will Season 13 Address Kyle and Mauricio's Separation?

The biggest bombshell to hit the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills offseason was the July 3rd announcement that Kyle Richards and her husband of 27 years, Mauricio Umansky were separating. According to People magazine's source, "Kyle and Mauricio have been separated for a while now but are still living under the same roof. They remain amicable as they figure out what’s next for them and their family."

Back in April, on Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave and Tamra Judge's podcast, Two T's In a Pod, Mauricio had claimed that rumors that he and Kyle were on the rocks were "so dumb." In that same interview, he also confirmed that these rumors would be addressed on the new season, as a tabloid report about Kyle and Mauricio's marriage problems had been discussed and debated by the Housewives.

Kyle and Mauricio have been a part of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills since the beginning, and their marriage has hardly ever been shown in a bad light. There was that one time that Brandi Glanville brought a tabloid magazine with a headline about Kyle and Mauricio and cheating rumors to a cast vacation in Palm Springs. Brandi later said Lisa Vanderpump encouraged her to bring the tabloid, because it would be funny, and this would end up being an early wedge between Kyle and Lisa on the road to their eventual friend breakup.

What Other Storylines Can We Expect This Season?

While Rinna's absence from the cast has coincided with a curious downtick in the number of leaks about this season's events, there has been talk of some beef that needs to be worked out with enemies-turned-besties Erika and Dorit. At BravoCon in October, Erika said that Dorit and her husband PK would be the next Bravo couple to split up.

Back in March, Radar Online — that oft-cited source for gossip about the Housewives that's been leaked by the Housewives — reported that this season, the cast gangs up on Erika. "They want her gone — and they’re not hiding it," is a quote attributed to an anonymous source.

Whether or not the rumors of a coordinated campaign against Erika are true, at least one Housewife has gone on the record promising a more lighthearted and fun Season 13. In an interview with People, Garcelle said, "I think we're gonna get back to old school Beverly Hills in terms of like glamor and fun, and you know, a little bit of a sisterhood if we can. Even though there's gonna be drama. So I'm looking forward to it. "

Garcelle has also been vocal about advocating for the return of another former Housewife…

Will Lisa Vanderpump Return to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills?

In that same interview with People, Garcelle also said that Vanderpump's return to the show "would be fun. I'd love that." Garcelle made an appearance dining with Vanderpump at the latter's restaurant, Pump, in the most recent season of Vanderpump Rules. Thus far, there has been no indication that Vanderpump has filmed for RHOBH, but considering Lisa is no longer integral to her namesake show, we remain steadfast in our conviction that a return to Beverly Hills it would be a great idea.
