Tom Sturridge, Gwendoline Christie, Jamie Foxx, Kevin Hart and Mark Wahlberg are just a few of the big names bowing new projects on Netflix this August. Also this month: a new look back at the disastrous Woodstock ‘99, more teen romance drama from Never Have I Ever, and Selling Sunset's Oppenheim Group opens a new office in Selling The OC. Here are the new releases and returning series we're most looking forward to watching on Netflix in August 2022:
Thirty years after the first Woodstock Festival defined a generation, organizers attempted to recreate the original’s magic. It fell flat on its face in spectacular (and dangerous) fashion. In this new three-part docuseries, iterviews with artists, staff, and attendees reveal that the Fyre Festival was far from the first music fest to suffer from poor planning.

Set across multiple timelines, this much-anticipated adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s ambitious comic tells the story of Morpheus, the Dream King (Tom Sturridge), who shapes our fears and fantasies when we are asleep. When Dream is held captive for a century, it sets off a string of events that impact both the waking and dream worlds, which he must try to fix upon his return. Friends, foes, and family include Lucifer Morningstar (Gwendoline Christie), Death (Kirby Howell-Baptiste), Desire (Mason Alexander Park), Johanna Constantine (Jenna Coleman), and the Corinthian (Boyd Holbrook).

Mo Amer is following in the footsteps of his Ramy co-star Ramy Youssef with a new semi-autobiographical series. Mo follows Mo Najjar (played by Amer) as he navigates the complex immigration process while trying to provide for his family of Palestinian refugees living in Houston, Texas.

The Oppenheim Group is expanding its empire with a new office in Orange Country. This new batch of realtors was teased at the end of Selling Sunset’s fourth season with a work party, and the mix of men and women in the office should lead to plenty of fireworks as they try to make their mark on the property business.

Sonny (Kevin Hart) is a stay-at-home dad who finds himself with some “me time” for the first time in years while his wife and family are away. Sonny reconnects with his best friend (played by Mark Wahlberg) and the weekend quickly spins out of control in this summer comedy. The cast also includes Regina Hall, Jimmy O. Yang, and Luis Gerardo Méndez.
