The previews for the new Marvel series WandaVision suggest the show will rely heavily on old sitcom tropes, and given that Wanda Maximoff's comic book codename is "the Scarlet Witch," it's a fair bet that the inspiration for that concept stemmed from the classic Bewitched series that ran from 1964 to 1972, changing from black and white to color as time went on.
If it's been a while since you partook in some vintage multicamera situation comedy, you can bone up on the old tropes while getting into the holiday spirit with this full episode of Bewitched, where the savvy spellcaster Samantha Stephens (Elizabeth Montgomery) tries to reignite the Christmas spirit in a troubled orphan by taking him to meet the real Santa Claus, and bringing her befuddled husband Darrin (Dick York) along for the ride.
WandaVision premieres January 15 on Disney+.
