In the Netflix docuseries Pretend It's a City, Fran Lebowitz cleverly complains about New York while Martin Scorsese laughs at her wit.
That's exactly what happened when they appeared together on Saturday Night Live's "Weekend Update" in the form of a pitch-perfect Bowen Yang and Kyle Mooney.
Among the random zingers from Yang's Lebowitz:
"I've been so bored at home, I was about to get married to my cufflinks."
"Remember when everyone in New York City had a machete? It used to be that -- you would go on the subway and you would look at a man's machete or his penis."
"Gender doesn't exist anymore. You know why? Ed Koch died."
Marty laughed so hard he tore his eyebrows off.
