Dave Chappelle summed up to David Letterman why he has no interest in being a civil rights leader.
"Being someone that people would look to for moral or intellectual guidance would require me to live a completely different way," he said. "There's no pension plan for leaders. Martin Luther King died penniless, Malcolm X died penniless. I don't want to do that."
The two Daves also discussed the impact of watching George Floyd get murdered by a man in a police uniform, and the cautious optimism for substantial change that may grow from the aftermath.
