Apple+ is teamiong up with Dreamworks Animation for its new series Doug Unplugs, about a mechanical child who is taught what it means to have fun by his energetic new human friend Emma.
Based on the Dan Yaccarino book Doug Unplugged, the show follows the cuddly Doug-bot as he learns what it means to be a kid, and discovers things about the world that can't be gleaned from a downloadable app — namely, the importance of imagination.
Doug Unplugs premieres November 13 on Apple TV+.
Andy Hunsaker has a head full of sitcom gags and nerd-genre lore, and can be followed @AndyHunsaker if you're into that sort of thing.
