"Prepare to die, Rocco!"
Those were the last words Sesame Street's now-infamous rock heard in a tense SNL "Weekend Update" sketch that saw Elmo, played by Chloe Fineman, finally get revenge on his nemesis. The sketch began with Elmo admitting that he "overreacted" and is "ready to move on" from his decades-long feud with Rocco, Zoe's pet rock, but when his mineral-filled enemy rolled out on a customized chair, it reignited old feelings for the Sesame Street favorite. Before long, Elmo found himself back in old territory as he reminded Michael Che that "Rocco's a rock" with no legs, no respiratory system, and absolutely no need for Che's last cookie.
Elmo's only recourse was to cover Rocco with a sheet of paper, because, as any elementary schooler knows, "paper covers rock." Seeya, Rocco!
