Greg Kinnear appeared on The View today, where he and his co-star in The Stand Whoopi Goldberg discussed how strange it was to finish filming a series just three days before the world got shut down by COVID.
"I told my wife 'what I wouldn't give to have just a few days to relax before moving on to New York,'" Kinnear said of his scheduled run on Broadway in Aaron Sorkin's To Kill a Mockingbird. "Of course, a few days turned into 2020."
Kinnear also recalled how The Stand, Stephen King's "1300-page tome" first grabbed his attention in high school, and the impossibility of capturing it all in the new CBS All Access miniseries.
"We could do three seasons of this and I still think leave some of the book on the table," Kinnear said.
The Stand premieres on CBS All Access Thursday December 17th, with new episodes dropping Thursdays through February.
