With Trump out of office, Jimmy Kimmel has found a new favorite target: Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene. On Monday, the late night host took aim at the freshman congressman and conspiracy theorist for comparing mask mandates to the Holocaust, a remark that was widely criticized by her colleagues. "Go home," said Kimmel. "Go back to keying other parents' cars at soccer games, you monster."
"Rand isn't the only guy in Congress who doesn't want to follow Covid guidelines. There are several others, including Marjorie Taylor Greene," said Kimmel, as he introduced the topic during his Monday night monologue. "Klan Mom is very upset with Nancy Pelosi, who's making her wear a mask to work, a restriction she compared to — that's right, you guessed it — the Holocaust."
Kimmel then played a clip of Greene's outlandish comments, which were made last week on a far-right network. "We can look back at a time in history where people were told to wear a gold star, and ... they were put in trains and taken to gas chambers in Nazi Germany," she said. "This is exactly the type of abuse that Nancy Pelosi is talking about."
"Where the hell are those Jewish space lasers when you need them?" knocked Kimmel. "'Wearing masks is exactly the type of abuse seen in the Holocaust.' What's wrong with this woman?"
"Kevin McCarthy immediately condemned her comments. He said they were 'reprehensible and totally inconsistent with the values of the Republican Party,'" added the host. "No, just kidding. He said nothing. He did nothing, and he said nothing."
