Jordan Klepper is back to doing what he does best: trolling COVID conspiracy theorists. In his latest man-on-the-street segment for The Daily Show, Klepper attended an anti-mask rally in North Carolina and spoke to parents protesting mask mandates in the Johnson County school system.
The comedian explained that despite the CDC's recommendation for masks to be worn in schools (particularly for children under 12 who aren't yet eligible for the vaccine), "packed school board meetings and new stars of the right are upset because putting on a piece of cloth is just too much." As the anti-maskers complained about their children breaking out with acne, warned of the dangers of smelling "that funk" inside masks, and insisted COVID-19 patients aren't actually sick, Klepper peppered them with basic questions about their beliefs meant to highlight the hypocrisy of their anti-science stance. Spoiler: it worked, just as it always does.
The Daily Show with Trevor Noah airs weeknights at 11:00 PM ET on Comedy Central.
