Anthony Mackie appeared on Wednesday's Jimmy Kimmel Live! and debuted a new action-packed clip from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, which showed us an aerial combat sequence where Sam Wilson outmaneuvers a helicopter gunner and yanks him out of the chopper.
"I dropped a dude into the Grand Canyon on that clip," Mackie said.
"You killed him," Kimmel agreed. "I did notice that, and I don't want to give anything away, but the Falcon doesn't seem to have any hesitation about killing people."
"That's my job, I'm from New Orleans, baby, that's what we do, bang bang bang," Mackie responded.
Kimmel then marveled at how good the show looks, comparing it to the superhero shows of his childhood. He then played a clip from the 1980s series The Greatest American Hero, featuring William Katt awkwardly flying after a car.
"You know what? I venture to say before the amazing CGI team gets a hold of our footage, that's exactly what I look like," Mackie admitted.
Mackie also insisted that Sam never actually accepted Captain America's shield at the end of Avengers: Endgame, even though Steve Rogers offered it to him. Kimmel then asked if he would accept it at some point.
"At any point in time, Kevin Feige can replace me with 50 Cent, so I'm chillin' out and waiting to see what happens," Mackie quipped.
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier premieres Friday, March 19 on Disney+.
