It takes a lot to earn a stamp of approval from the notoriously curmudgeonly Larry David, but Jimmy Kimmel has finally done it. Last night, the Jimmy Kimmel Live! host revealed that he pranked David by replacing every celebrity photo in the studio's main hallway with a picture of the Curb Your Enthusiasm star. As he walked down the hall, David praised Kimmel's "trick" and even went so far as to declare it "so funny." Pretty, pretty, pretty good, Kimmel.
Later in the interview, David recalled the moment Kimmel invited him over for dinner, but he accidentally arrived a week early. JKL! showed their text exchange, in which David says that he "can't get in," and Kimmel replied that they were supposed to meet the following week ("I am at a funeral - sorry pal," wrote the late night host). "Holy s**t!!! Hahaha," David wrote back.
"I thought that you had played a practical joke on me, that it was a prank," revealed David. "I thought I was getting Punk'd. I thought, 'I'm never doing that show again.'"
Jimmy Kimmel Live! airs weeknights at 11:35 PM ET on ABC.
