Just before midnight, MSNBC anchor Brian Williams took a shot at Fox News when he aired an ad created by Meidas Touch, a liberal PAC, that the conservative network refused to air.
The ad in question focuses on the January 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, "as told by those who lived it," including Capitol Police officers and military veterans. "The GOP betrayed America," says a title card, after various survivors are shown giving their personal testimony. "We will never forget."
Meidas Touch tweeted that they spent $184,854 on the ad time, but when they submitted the spot to Fox News, they "denied airing" it. As a result, PAC asked their followers to "retweet and get it out in every corner of the country," and Williams happily obliged. "We have a pretty good reach, too, so we've chosen to air it tonight," said The 11th Hour host. "As you watch, ask yourself what isn't factual about it, which people in it aren't real."
The 11th Hour with Brian Williams airs weeknights at 11:00 PM ET on MSNBC.
