The cast of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds has announced the start of production for their brand new Paramount+ series featuring characters that were introduced in the pilot episode of Star Trek: The Original Series played by the actors who portrayed them in Star Trek: Discovery.
Anson Mount (Captain Pike), Rebecca Romijn (Number One), and Ethan Peck (Spock) begin the announcement by reciting the classic introductory speech from TOS, and they are joined by five new cast members whose roles have yet to be revealed: Babs Olusanmokun, Christina Chong, Celia Rose Gooding, Jess Bush, and Melissa Navia.
The new series will focus more on the single-episode adventures, set on a U.S.S. Enterprise that pre-dates Captain James T. Kirk.
