Audiences are lapping up Shondaland's sexy new Netflix series Bridgertown, but some of the show's steamier scenes were a no-go when series star Phoebe Dynevor sat down to watch it with her grandparents.
Appearing with her co-star Regé-Jean Page on The Drew Barrymore Show Friday, Dynevor set the scene.
"I find it really hard to watch myself, but I had to, if they were going to watch it," Dynevor said. "So I had to stand there with the remote ready at any given point to fast forward for them not to see any of the bits I didn't want them to see. It was PG-13 for my grandparents."
When Barrymore said she was interested in seeing that version of the series, Regé-Jean Page dissented. "I'm not sure I want to see that in fast forward. I think that might be a whole new show."
"Cue the William Tell Overture," Barrymore joked.
"Or the Benny Hill theme, too" Page quipped back.
