Prince Harry's Full 17-Minute Tour Bus Remote with James Corden

Here's something that doesn't happen everyday: a member of the British royal family doing an extended remote on a late night talk show. That's what's going on in this clip from The Late Late Show with James Corden, where the host spends an afternoon sightsteeing in Los Angeles with Prince Harry.

Since Harry is not technically an "active" royal anymore ("It was never walking away. It was stepping back rather than stepping down," he insists), it seems he has a bit more time to muck about and ride on an open-top tour bus for the first time in his life, complete with fancy tea service courtesy of Corden. Of course, a bus on the streets of LA is prone to the occasional pothole, and in this case, a sudden traffic bump sends the tea cart right into the prince's lap. 

Shortly thereafter, Corden takes Harry to the house from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, a show that Harry has not only seen, but he even busts out some of the lyrics to the theme song. Corden tries to get Harry to just buy the mansion from its current owners, going so far as to call Meghan Markle to get her approval of the idea. She seems quite noncommittal. 

Back on the bus, Corden asks Harry his opinion of The Crown. "They don't pretend to be news," Harry says. "It's fictional, but it's loosely based on the truth. Of course, it's not strictly accurate, but loosely... it gives you a rough idea about what that lifestyle, what the pressures of putting duty and service above family and everything else, what can come from that. I'm way more comfortable with The Crown than I am seeing the stories written about my family, my wife or myself, because it's the difference between 'that is obviously fiction, take it how you will,' but this is being reported on as fact because you're supposedly 'news.' I have a real issue with that."

Harry also suggested Damien Lewis play him on The Crown (although he got him mixed up with Daniel Day-Lewis at first). He was less keen on Corden casting himself as Prince William. 

Later, they head to a military-style obstacle course, in which Corden takes particular offense at the concept of the mud crawl under barbed wire, as well as Prince Harry encouraging him along in the same way he might do so for a dog.
