He's famous for wearing righteous indignation like a finely tailored suit on Law & Order and The Newsroom, but don't let it be said that Sam Waterston doesn't have a sense of humor.
The veteran actor showed off his comedy chops Friday night on the Late Show With Stephen Colbert as he hosted an hour-long look back at the show's stellar election coverage, featuring clips going back as far as 2019 and the race for the Democratic Party nomination.
For our money, the highlight show's true highlight was seeing the nearly 80 year-old Waterston break out his grandpa dance moves in the lower right hand corner of the screen during the show's opening credits. We defy you to watch the clip above and not feel for just a moment like maybe things will be alright after all.
