When it comes to Richard Branson and Jeff Bezos' space race, Seth Meyers and Amy Poehler have just one question: Really!?!
Last night, the former Saturday Night Live "Weekend Update" anchors reunited on Late Night, where they revived their iconic "Really!?!" segment and took aim at the world's space-obsessed billionaires. "Really, billionaires? This is what you're going to do with your unprecedented fortunes and influence? Drag race to outer space?" asked Meyers. "If you're trying to be likable, this won't work. It's like if Tom Brady tried to be more likable by wearing a fedora and yammering about bitcoin."
"You know who isn't going into space? Any women," added Poehler. "Really! Yeah, we're staying down here 'cause we gotta fix all the things! We have shit to do down here!"
The SNL alums went on to roast Branson and Bezos' "obsession with rockets," which is very clearly a means of overcompensating for... something. "Really: the rockets are dicks. The skyscrapers are dicks," said Poehler. "Even Freud is like, 'You don't need me for this, right? You get it! Those rockets are dicks.'"
Late Night with Seth Meyers airs weeknights at 12:35 AM ET on NBC.
