Seth Rogen Absolutely Destroys 'Fascist' Ted Cruz on Colbert

Seth Rogen and Ted Cruz's war of words reached a stalemate in January, but it seems like the funnyman just reignited tensions. During a Thursday appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Rogen denied that their Twitter spat is a "feud," as Cruz is a "fascist," and it's impossible to "feud" with someone who's arguing in bad faith. "His words caused people to die and I'm making jokes about it," said the actor. "Is that a feud? I don't know."

"You've had what you're describing as, 'Not a Feud' with Ted Cruz," said Colbert, explaining that earlier this year, Cruz said that Rogen is "a rich, angry, Hollywood celebrity," and Rogen responded that Cruz is "a white supremacist fascist."

"I guess 'feud' implies equal ground," replied Rogen. "If someone's trying to murder someone with a baseball bat and someone's yelling at that person to stop, is that a feud between the baseball bat wielder and the person yelling at the baseball bat wielder? I don't know if that's a feud. 'Feud' implies two people hitting each other with baseball bats."

"Ted Cruz is a fascist. He denies the reality of the election," he continued. "To me, it doesn't seem like a feud. To me, it seems like I'm pointing out the fact that he is a terrible man whose words have resulted in death."

Rogen explained that the idea of a 'feud' between the two speaks to the larger issue of "a false equivalency" between the "right and the left, which makes it seem like two appendages of the same creature," when in fact that's not the case. "One is a creature, and the other is just trying to stop it from destroying the country."
