Seth Rogen may not know a ton about dating, but he does know this: if you're going to ask a big question, save it for the *end* of the meal. Monday night on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Rogen recalled the moment he failed to heed this advice, and the disastrous date that ended with him crying into his entrée.
Rogen recalled that in his early 20s, he celebrated his birthday with a woman he was "hooking up" with, and he hoped to take their relationship to the next level by asking her to be his girlfriend at dinner. "I asked her around when the appetizers were arriving, and she said no," he said, as Kimmel's audience booed. "And then I started crying."
The actor insisted that they couldn't leave because it was his birthday — "There was a cake coming and shit," he said — so instead, they sat at the table awkwardly until the end of the meal. "This poor woman had to sit there with me as I wept into my truffle mac and cheese," said Rogen. "So, yeah, as you guys know. You don't ask until the end of the meal!"
Jimmy Kimmel Live! airs weeknights at 11:35 PM ET on ABC.
