Stars: they're just like us.
In a new interview with E!'s Daily Pop, veteran comedian Seth Rogen relived his disastrous attempt to say hello to Beyoncé at a long-ago Grammy Awards. Unfortunately, Bey's security intercepted Rogen, causing him to spill his drink all over his suit -- just as he was set to take the stage to present an award. And the Grammy for Most Awkward Encounter goes to...
Rogen writes about the unfortunate experience in his new memoir, Year Book, but he offered a little preview to E! viewers tuning in to Daily Pop. "I was at the Grammys, and I saw Beyoncé with Gwyneth Paltrow, actually," he recalled. "They were together, and I charged -- instinct took over, and I was like, 'I've gotta go say hi!'"
"And I was hit so hard by her security guard that I spilled a drink. I was drinking a screwdriver, which is a bad drink. I deserve what I got," joked Rogen. "But I spilled it all over myself, and then a second later, someone came up to me and was like, 'You now have to present a Grammy.'"
Rogen ultimately presented the award "while holding [his] arms in a very weird position" to cover up the stain. "I was covered in screwdriver, and I was humiliated, AND I didn't get to meet Beyoncé," he said, summing up his many disappointments.
Seth Rogen's new memoir, Year Book, is available wherever books are sold. Daily Pop airs weekdays at 11:00 AM ET on E!.
